Footscope focuses on the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of lower limb joint and muscle related disorders.
Based primarily in Central London, Footscope will address your pain and concerns with optimal professionalism and care. The advanced analysis and assessment protocols we have developed will give you confidence that you have undergone an in-depth evaluation of your posture and movement. We have the expertise and experience to utilise the complex data we collect to provide a comprehensive treatment plan.
JAY THAKRAR - FOOTSCOPE FOUNDER AND PODIATRIST
Jay is a skilled musculoskeletal/sports podiatrist. After training and practicing at the University College London and The London Foot Hospital, Jay has been working in podiatry, biomechanics and gait analysis for over 20 years. Working at this prestigious centre of excellence provided Jay with invaluable exposure to complex sport and other musculoskeletal cases. He then pursued further training and interest in the field of lower limb biomechanics. This involves an in-depth analysis of posture, walking and running styles, and relating the findings to how the joints and muscles function.
At Footscope, Jay obtains validated and reliable data to help drive treatment and management plans. Combined with gold-standard assessments and 3D gait analysis technology, his experience comes together with a passion for data and evidence-based practice.

CLIENTS
Jay’s clients are of varying ages and have a range of activity backgrounds, including children suffering from conditions related to skeletal development; those partaking in amateur or professional sports and people who have symptoms related to their everyday activities. Symptoms can range from foot and ankle pain to issues at the knee, hip or lower back level.
